Can Insurance Offset the Cost of Your Psychiatrist Appointments?
Dr. DePalma is an out-of-network physician and does not contract with any insurance plans. However many patients have been able to get part of their psychiatrist costs reimbursed through their insurance plan’s out-of-network benefits.
At the end of each appointment you will receive an invoice with the appropriate diagnostic and billing information — a superbill — that you submit directly to your insurance company. Your insurer reimburses you directly based on your plan’s out-of-network coverage. You pay the full cost at the appointment and submit the superbill to your insurer afterward.

a) Does my plan include any out-of-network coverage for out-of-network psychiatrists?
